Wikis v. BlogsThis is a featured page

Looks like lots of folks are using this site to try out the features of Wetpaint. Which is cool. When you first see it, that's kinda what you want to do, right? Just like when people first saw blogs and they added a bunch of comments with weird words in them just to try it out.

What i'll be interested to see is what happens when (and if) Mike starts adding some of his juicy info tidbits to this site. Wouldn't it be cool if you could browse Mike's brain? If you could come to the techcrunch site and mess around looking at any post any time? That's the thing that intrigues me about Wikis. Blogs are great...but they are chronological. Which implies, essentially, that something Mike wrote last week isn't as important as something he wrote today. And worse, that something he wrote last year is totally worthless. Which is, of course, totally wrong. Instead, these wikis let you add content like a blog, but organize like a website. And to me that is very very cool.

I waited to start a blog (ok, i'm a very late adopter, i admit it. which is pretty lame, considering i'm in the tech world). And then I waited some more, until i could do a wiki instead. And now, it's an experiment. Will people kill my content? will they make the site super dooper cool in a way i couldn't on my own? we'll see.

Wanna help? I'm over at corporateunderpants.wetpaint.com.

It's a place to talk about silly things companies do--and about all the corporate emperors who are naked as jaybirds.
